SHOSTAKOVICH, or THREE RED DAYS
Based on a true anecdote from the life of Shostakovich and featuring the evocative music of his 8th String Quartet, Shostakovich, or Three Red Days, is a silent drama for a quartet of actors – 3 men who play the Husband and 1 woman who plays the Wife.
Through movement, gesture and stillness 3RD stages the fear, anxiety and oppression of Stalinist Russia in a tiny, claustrophobic apartment.
